So, on D2 I postulated that when Charles faked his tracker he was actually going by Redirector results (I figured at the time this was TMI from Soul, turns out he flipped redirector himself). And in all likelihood that seems to have been the case - he tried to have Blue kill me and then once he was in hot water threw out that information to try and implicate both of us, only it ended up doing the opposite.

Now, his other claim was that he had used a protection ability on Fuji. This also ended up backfiring as he claimed using two abilities at once. Once again, this ability does not exist.

But then the question is...why claim an ability like that out of the blue to begin with? Why tack on that component to his claim unnecessarily?

The only thing I can really think of is that he was creating an alibi for visiting Fuji. It follows a similar train of behavior to his tracker claim - tell the truth about who your targets are but lie about the nature of the ability in question.

It fits the time frame, With Charlie's claim he did this before the EoD WU for day 2

Rather, the jellyfish were an omen, a harbinger to a far creater calamity than mere vikekin.
