Questions & Mysteries Why doesnt OP have iconic attacks & villains?

#1
I've seen people who barely love anime shout kamehameha, Rasengan, pokemon stuff or Saint Seiya etc...

People who can mention Frieza, Aizen, Pain or Madara without watching the anime that much
Yet OP despite its fame and sales doesn't get that much mentions around the world.

I think it's due to Luffy having so many attacks (no wonder why even Oda himself forgets and has to go read fans attack lists in order to remember which attack is this or that)
And also the fact Oda doesn't really write villains that along with fights being average.

Gomu Gomu no is as iconic as Kameha meha when compared in OP strata tbh. For Villians Kaido is one big ass MFer. Blackbeard can be another one. The entire WG and Imu might be Madara level of threat. Villians have only buckled up after Marineford. Big guns are yet to fight Luffy, Look what Kaido has done.

Oh look,some random twitter nerd

DB is a worldwide phenomen.OP is not
I guess DB had Vegeta > Goku retards like Lolocucks here. One Piece has its own Legacy and will be GOATED worldwide pretty soon. Many have started watching it nowadays.

DBZ and Naruto villains tend to be universally praised by their entire fanbase. They propagate positive energy about their villains everywhere they go. Casuals see the universal praise and think "Huh they really must be a good villain with all this praise"

One Piece fanbase is too busy putting each other down for their villains to break out, Yonko fans shitting on Admirals, Admiral fans shitting on Yonko's, Yonko and Admiral fans shitting on Mihawk. Mihawk fans shitting on Yonko's and Admirals. We point out the flaws and negatives all by ourselves. Casuals see that shit and go "I guess they all suck".

One piece has plenty positives, fights are not one of those.
Iconic attacks are part of fights which are also iconic. Since one piece lacks in fight scenes choreography it also is not that hard to understand why it lacks great memorable attacks.

Tldr : disappointing fights = disappointing fight endings with disappointing finishing move

Gear second is pretry cool ig, the furthest thing we can get to being "iconic" . Apart from that, nope lol. OP is far too long winded to leave a lasting impression.

You can say kaido was the main antagnist since the time skip. punk hazard was a step toward entering dressrosa and kaido been aiming to kill luffy since dressrosa and not to froget starting to post time skip. law and luffy built alliance to take down kaido. so it was planning. 4 arc. character developments. all to beat kaido in the end.

And for attacks they are too big.
Just gomu gomu no mi is more than enough then it's the name of the attack.
only attack would make more impact like.
hydra, red roc, python
or attacks like
shuran hakkai , rangarako, or diable jumble.

same goes for zoro his attack names are too big when he adds one sword style or two sword style things to his attacks.

for example. people remmeber attacks like rasengan because it's cool and small named.
there;s a more cooler attack and name too like
Thunder god flying raijin jutsu. but again it's too big.

amaterasu used sasuke, it's whole name is blaze style. it's a kekkei genkei. it;s actually length which bother people.

About the attack is because if Luffy uses no named attacks there is a troupe that goes crazy saying he is not fighting serious.

But overall One Piece is not that great in the West.
