Mihawk is not going after Zoro, Zoro goes after him when he's ready, there goes your entire narrative. Is he part of the RHP? No. You want to rewrite the character to fit into the story? His story is Zoro, he has been at the top since he was introduced and he only cares about someone that surpasses Shanks as his rival.

Oda's biggest mistake was to leave the bounty hunters out of the story..He almost gave this task to the navy

We did get Jean Ango, but that was basically it lol. I guess Zoro was one with Johnny and Yosaku. I'm still hoping we see another one before the end. He also hasn't addressed those Level 6 escapees either.

Maybe so, or it could be he was just a famous swordsman like Roger was or how Shanks, Rayleigh and Zoro are now, although Rayleigh is old and out of his prime. Mihawk could of still been challenging strong swordsmen for the title for some years even after rogers execution.

Just because your famous for what you do doesn’t make you the recognized best yet. Until Oda confirms it then I say maybe.

My point is that Aramaki is fighting for his life and trying everything meanwhile his opponents are casual, using a good amount of power but not all of it, and not using transformations or devil fruits. Also did you seriously argue that Marco pre time skip hits harder than Yamato?

Its a side plot when it doesn't involve Luffy and the journey to One Piece in the plot. Oda even called Marineford a side plot.

Again, I'm not sure where expectation is coming from to give Zoro his own dedicated journey away from the crew and seek out Mihawk all while the world is going to shit.

You want Zoro vs. Mihawk to happen, expect it to happen in the endgame like every other single thing and dream in this series.

Also, Luffy is Joyboy and the leader of the alliance is not just about strength..Also, each person's bounty is almost related to their captain's bounty in addition to personal achievements..It doesn't matter much to me anyway, I love the debate between the Sanji and Zoro fandoms
