To be fair they did scar him, that attack was pretty strong. He seems to be more emotive in Dragon than in Hybrid lol. In Hybrid he was just taking hits several times stronger and just grunting.

It's how comparisons work. Doesn't mean Kaido can't take more pain but he has a lower threshold for feeling it. The fact he was screaming from scabbard attacks to Law's rock slam reinforces it.

Doesnt make sense when later on he fights G4 ACoC Luffy and G5 and just takes the hits.
