They both look bad ass in their own right and their own way..
in terms of bad ass character
Someone destroying a power up leverage hat would enhance every inch of his body twice as much as it already had gotten
just to humble himself to stay sane for his captain and stay true to himself and his code of honor .. than turn into a bleak tool of assassination.
vs
Someone who was initially a condescending and an extreme narcissist to Luffy gradually perceived his opponent's growth, pondered over his determination, and grew to respect him to the point where he's willing to even the inequitable odds even if it means stab a gaping hole in himself for it..understanding that its no longer a fight for ego and condescension but battle between men with monumental stakes.
