Chapter Discussion Enma doesnt jump a grade if it goes black.

The Sword just get stronger in the same grade. I think if was going to jump grades it would of said so. Instead it uses the word Rank. It depends on the way you interpret it.
There is only 1 ranking system for swords that Oda introduced.

That is the meito system.

So if Emma goes up a rank, It will go from the 21 great grade sword it will go to the 12 supreme grade swords

Possible, afterall being in the same grade doesn't mean two swords are equal, we recently got example of that.

Bt i think turning Enma Black blade could significantly increase its quality and it could go up to supreme grade sword.

Plus Mihawk sword Yoru is the best, its only logical Zoro swords also become one of the best in the future.

So why didn't it say it will move up a grade. Also what happens if the highest grade goes Black.
Grade rank that is just semantics. Different people translate different thing differently.

Jaiminisbox, managstream and viz all translated that line that hitetsu said differently.

The highest rank at the moment is the 12 supreme grade sword.

Mihawks said his sword is the strongest in the word. It is a black blade. In spite of all that it is a 12 supreme grade sword.

So unless Oda states otherwise, there is no rank greater than the 12 supreme grade swords

Was Mihawk Sword always 12 grade? You can interpret this different ways. If it said Grade it would of been different. I hope Oda clarifies it better through.

Rising in grade could be seen as rise in rank.

To me, it implies enma would become Supreme grade but let's see

I agree. This makes alot of sense because when the blade grade rank system was introduced and even now (base on the current chapter) the first 3 grades have a set number of blades. If forging a blade black allows it to reach a higher grade then there couldn't be a set number of blades.
