I think we get too much into the specifics of fighting swordsman with Mihawk. He won't suddenly get weaker against non swordsman and stronger against them. That's like saying White beard can only win in a man to man fight as the world strongest man but loses to women.

I'm pretty sure their titles mean they are the 3 strongest in the world and this is what they are known for. Sometimes Oda is just saying simple things

It actually pains me to say this, since the power of souls is an extreme power. Can you imagine if BM just casually make Yoru or Gryphon into homies? Akainu's magma into a homie? Etc etc she should be one of the most haxxed fighter...but her fighting IQ is meh to the extreme even Franky and Robin humilate her lol.

To compare her IQ to Mihawk? As the WSS, he literally should have the most focus, composure precision in the entire series imo. Shanks the lazy drunken bum doesn't have that kind of crazy focus and precision all the time. Imo even with BM's crazy stamina and superior durability, Mihawk will tear BM apart using faster and more consistent damage per second.

Not really. While I think Oda failed to truly showcase Big Mom during her fight against Kid and Law, we got to remember that:

1. Most of the fight was off paneled, if this was Luffy vs Big Mom then Oda would have shown way more feats from her.

2. Kid and Law were actually struggling against her and they had to finally use their awakening to have any chances of severely injuring as well as finally defeating her.

3. Plot yes we can't forget about plot, there were moments where she was very close on defeating Kid and Law but their plot armor saved them.

4. When it comes to non SH fights especially ones that aren't focused on Luffy, those fights are not going to get the same amount of focus and because of that those fights and the villains of that fight might come off very disappointing.

At the end of the day, it's not that Big Mom is weak but it's that Oda really didn't care about her fight against Kid and Law because it was not a SH focused fight.

Plus Big Mom had to be fought by two top tiers unlike Kaidou who was knocked out by one. Kaidou got knocked out from his opponent, meanwhile Big Mom was conscious after a beam pierced her stomach and she had her organs shocked like three times, so they literally had to force her off the island and throw bombs at her to finally knock her out.

No, when I refer to theoretically I'm mentioning the title of Mihawk that applies to Fujitora who is defined as a swordsman.

And no, again, the same logic here, yes a swordsman can have another weapon besides his sword but he still is still an esapdachim and by default Mihawk is able to outrun him, that's the way it is.
