Character Discussion Who is a better character? Nami or Vinsmoke Sanji?

I seriously don't understand the fanbase liking of Nami. Nami is by far the most useless character in One Piece. Give me a perv character that actually is useful, over a useless character where their only reason for existence is to show off how big their boobs are during fanservice scenes.

- Fights
- Usually is the one who sets up the strawhat escape.
- Momo and Otama playing with her naked breasts.
- Runs away in every fight.

She is not a fighter, never meant to be one. She was supposed to be a navigator, she is doing that and has done it (e.g. Skypeia). Even then, she has done some support work e.g. against Cracker, against Enel.
I don't see why she needs to a fighter to be a better character. "Useless character" =/= "Worse character".
I understand fanservice complaint, but that's just one aspect. Almost every shonen female suffers from that.

Sanji has had more plot focus to expand on his character and motivation. He is also given some of the few character arcs oda ever draws. Let alone a fun non combat role as well as combat roles.
Nami is a great character too, but I think oda has really failed at making her character more plot relevant since the time skip

I personally like Nami better, but considering Sanji gets more attention in fights and has a more fleshed out backstory than โKidnapped by a government official and inadvertently coerced into white slavery until a sentient dildo freed her,โ Iโm gonna give it to him by the slimmest margin possible 
Sanji is a complete character, Oda explores every single possible aspect of a character for the One Piece standards, with Sanji.
That only one who comes close is Luffy, who is the main character.

We are 1000+ chapters into a battle shounen where she was a fighter before and now Oda has turned her into a boob character.
Navigator? lol. Oda clowned Nami by having Bartolemeo navigate through the new world without a navigator. The navigator title has been completely pointless in One Piece ever since the introduction to vivre cards and Jinbei. Luffy went to Zou without Nami. Zoro and company went to Wano without Nami.
The first two Strawhats - Luffy and Zoro are horrible with directions. It doesnโt matter if others can navigate the seas, those two can't. Not without Law/Barto. They need Nami, making her indispensable for them. Granted that very little meaning to you or me.
Vivre Cards do not take you to Laugh Tale. Jinbei doesnโt either, he just steers the ship.

Robin makes a map pointing to the location. Somebody still has to take the crew there. That's the job of the navigator. Using the map to get the ship there. And Jinbei's job is to steer the ship in the direction Nami wants him to steer according to the map.
This is textbook stuff man. Robin is an archeologist, she doesnโt take the ship to Laugh Tale.

As a female lead, Nami's character has some positives:
- Humor involving her is actually funny and NOT perverted.
- Manipulative and greedy girl, which is fine as portrayed, but doesnโt do emotional blackmail like many other shonen female leads. Also, she is very overt about her love for money and manipulation, which I find really great.
- Doesnโt suffer from the phenomena where the girl tries to be useful only to be a burden.
- Not too kind nor too brutal. Excellent balance between kind nature and crudeness.
And the person that takes them to Laugh Tale is Jinbei and Franky, not Nami. The "directions" is all contained in Robin's map. The strawhats have been relying on vivre cards the entire post time skip where Nami "navigation skills" have been nonexistent.
