Here's my initial thoughts,


But after chatting with an old discord friend about it, I realized I was probably being too critical. I'm going into episode 2 with an open mind.
I'm willing to have just a bit of faith on the retcons, due to the fact that Martin is much more involved on this show.
So, if the retcons don't "ruin" the overall lore like it did on the main show, I'm ok with them.
I just don't like how their way of making us "care" about Rhaenyra is basically turning her into "look, a new Daenerys".
Idk....
The problem is that the Fire and Blood book is much less "detailed" than the actual novels, so it's kiiiiiiinda expected that the general "feel" for the series differs from GoT early seasons.
Let's see.
They've said that they intend to "build up" these characters and their relationships in a satisfactory manner so we can actually give two them when they start murdering each other.
