Saint Shanks isn't better than Mihawk at anything, don't get it confused, none of these fanmade notions exist in the story. Doesn't mean that Saint Shanks isn't on par with Mihawk but he's not on the winning side.
Just wait to feel dumb. Saint Shanks has no desire for a swordsman title, his kingly ambition is related to joyboy and ushering forth the new Era. Mihawk only uses his haki to improve his swordsmanship and maintain his title of the world greatest swordsman, Saint Shanks uses all types of haki to ensure overall combat superiority so that he was able to maintain the balance and keep the gears spinning towards luffy fulfilling some joyboy profacy. It's pretty obvious really, mihawk is a better swordsman with haki strong enough to withstand Saint Shanks and best him with his superior swordsmanship he just uses his haki 1 dimensionally, whereas Saint Shanks used his haki in every way possible to achieve a different goal, hence why mihawk lost interest in fighting Saint Shanks who is a worthy rival but has no desire to further his swordsmanship because of other ambitions.

Yes which is why the Viz translater says they use it interchangeable. Mihawk said his skill was above Zoro in chapter 51
Who the fuck cares what Stephen Paul says, he isn't Oda nor does he have the power to change the meaning of words.

If Stephen Paul tried to change "blue" to "red" would you just accept it because "muh Viz translator"?

カ - Power
技 - Skill

These aren't interchangeable, they have a very clear singular meaning and can't be swapped around.

ok buddy....

ConquistadoR

The Rogue Prince
I'm not contesting the authenticity of his title though.
It just means he's the Strongest Swordsman.

And I'm specifically asking you to look at his tweet below that - "Oda has never differentiated strength from skill".

Dont think there is a way around Brannew comparing Saint Shanks' swordsmanship to Mihawk, so Mihawk is superior.

l will need to wait until Mihawk is shown that he can not use that 3rd level of CoC then..:kuzanshut:
Even if he can't, he'd still be above as per title alone.

ACoC might be strongest power that matters the most, but it doesn't make you strongest by default. If other factors are so overwhelming, they can make up for marginally worse CoC.
