the mero mero no mi is not about attraction, it’s about strong emotion, so if kaido ate it the emotion that turned people into stone would be fear. for blackbeard the emotion is repulsion/disgust. These are Oda’s words. I bet Oda will use the Mero Mero as a gag: BB thinks he’s beautiful and turns others into stone because they are disgusted
