What other reason could there be for Oda posing a major question at the very last second and then not answering it? He could've just left her alone and her irrelevance throughout Wano would've left her to fizzle out of existence. Bumped her chances up to 90% that she's hiding on the Sunny.
For sure. She's even planning to find jobs to do on Wano to keep her busy meaning she has no plans at all to leave in the near future. If she ever does become a pirate, it'll be after the series has finished.
And yeah, this change does at least give the sake brewers a logical ending so they should be happy with that if anything.

Learn to read and comprehend the chapter. King is a skilled fighter that understands his body better than Zoro. He wouldn't have needed to enter his faster mode, where he can evade attacks easier, if his defense mode, that makes him harder to damage, protected him from Zoro's ACoC attacks.
