yeah, but it would be an interesting chance of development for his character. we see that luffy has a positive opinion of marco, because he 1)was ace's crewmate 2)helped him in marineford 3)helped him in onigashima. if weevil kills him, of course luffy is going to be PISSED. but he would be still under bakkin's control, and she cares more about money than anything else.
but, oda also stated that weevil will become a cool character in "that" sense. design wise... it's an acquired taste, so he will be loved by fans for something he will do in the story. given his hatred for teach, it's possible that he will break free from bakkin's control (heck, maybe he will even kill her) and will go fight bb alone. perhaps he will sacrifice himself for luffy against bb, to atone for the killing of marco. and perhaps luffy will grow not to like, but at least respect him

I think that would be a cool direction for his character
