That's true on Kid and Law, but it was stated that Garp and Roger had several fights that went to near death so unless that was a lie I think they should be pretty relative.

Well depends on when they fought but I don't think Roger and Rayleigh had big gap at all if any.

The more manga progresses the more it looks like Roger = Rayleigh

But if we compare how insane reputation of Old Rayleigh is sending a Yonko with his crew packing and Yonko shitting his parts and then fodder version of Blackbeard having no fear of Garp and Sengoku in MF.

Both DFless swordsmen, just that Roger's power edges out, as he is the captain, has stronger Haoshoku since Haoshoku is related to ambition and Roger's ambition was the greatest, with Kaido saying that Roger put the world to heel with his Haki, and wielding a supreme grade blade. The gap is small, I agree. But Gold > Silver.

Old Rayleigh does better against Akainu than Kizaru. One is fast while other has more firepower. Rayleigh would have easier time fighting Slow Akainu, than Kizaru.
