Rayleigh doesn't need his sword to save Pre-TS Zolo from Kizaru.

Rayleigh (he admits he was lucky) directly goes his sword vs. Blackbeard, who was dealing with Hancock + Haki user Kuja warriors + Koby.



And don't forget that BB haters were saying BB has disadvantage against Non-DF user swordsman like Rayleigh, and all of those Haki user Kuja warriors were desperate vs. Blackbeard. :steef::suresure:

Rayleigh can detect the power levels easily via CoO Haki:



He says ''they'' (Rayleigh + Hancock + Kuja warriors) were LUCKY vs. Blackbeard, and they couldn't win.

While Sentomaru says Kizaru couldn't defeat Rayleigh ALONE. (without Hancock's or Kuja warriors help).



Sentomaru: ''The Dark King stood in our way. Not even uncle Kizaru could get past him. What could we do?''

Blackbeard > Rayleigh + Hancock + Kuja > Rayleigh = Kizaru.

But but Ladmiral > Yonkou. Ladmirals cannot get past Rayleigh with their other marines, pacifista backup and their fandom talk about God Waido being inferior to them. :gokulaugh::gokulaugh:

Once again people taking it out of context as children do, same as Greenbull´s situation.

BB would need around high diff for Ray (so very serious fight), while Hancock´s stone threat still being there, while the Seraphims were still there, which probably would have turned it into a extreme diff fight either way.

Not every characters have to be bafoons like Kaidou and Big Mom.

I don't have a say in this argument, but a fight would only break out if Hancock was killed. She wouldn't be a factor.
The marines also aren't attacking BB (they are waiting orders from the HQ), but they ARE attacking the Kuja.
So it would be BB+Marines vs Rayleigh and (maybe) Shakky. And as we know the rest of the Kuja are fodders.

This is a part of his personality, but the real issue is he botched the entire thing by letting his crew run in headfirst without any precautions, when he fully understood the danger that Hancock’s fruit posed. The marines were guilty of the same, but the pis stings a little more with teach considering he crossed the ocean just for this power.

Y'all clowned Greenbull for backing off from the entire RHPs while taking on an alliance that took down 2 Yonkou, only to have Yonkou BB with his entire crew backing him up, shitting his pants and backing off from a lone 100 year old washed up version Rayleigh 🤣🤣

I'm convinced Oda is on a Yonkou killing spree on purpose, like he reads what people are saying online and says bet.

1) A fight would break out if BB insisted on going further. Whether BB would manage to kill her while Ray has already drawn his sword is very questionable.

2) Marines waited for orders at the beginning of the chapter. Later one of the seriphims that listen to the Marine´s orders attacked BB, meaning they were attacking him.

3) Besides the seriphim, no Marine was relevant at that point, VA was already stone, Coby is also irrelevant at this level.

That´s BB, remember Impel Down, remember WB´s words of BB´s overconfidence and carelessness being his weaknesses.
It´s a contradiction that makes BB more appealing than most OP characters.

He only acts when he feels he is in control of everything, but he can be mistaken since he is overconfident and careless at times.

It really does feel like Oda hears the nonsense that people trying to wank the Yonko say and displays how illogical they are.

Here we now have an even older Rayleigh sending Blackbeard with some of his crew retreating, while Kizaru kept pressing on, confident in achieving his goal despite Rayleigh’s interference and only getting blindsided by Kuma’s betrayal.

Rayleigh did have to pull out his sword and actually use it against Kizaru, despite initially trying to amicably dissuade Kizaru, even using an honorific.
With Blackbeard he just tells him he doesn’t like him and doesn’t even use his name.
