There is definitely something going on with Mihawk, the way wears a cross, rides on a coffin-boat with candles on the edges, have a first name based on Dracula. Dont get surprised if he is related to the ancient nobles.
Yeah, but that would back the question, where are all of his relatives with those eyes or heritage. Mihawk seems to be an outlier.
Imu seems to command lightning powers vastly superior to Enel's own.

Lulusia was instantly disintegrated, while Enel needed a lot more time to fail to destroy Skypiea.

It's either a weather fruit (but why would it's lightning be so much more powerful than the actual lightning fruit?) or a very powerful weapon.

Also important to note that Imu's attack created Sea Quakes and caused a tsunami.
It didn't quite look like lightning, more so like Kizaru's lasers. Vastly superior, I'm not sure. Enel needed that prep time because Skypia naturally doesn't have thunder clouds. My assumption is, that an awakened thunder fruit could summon such thunder clouds on its own, which counts as manipulating the surroundings.

There has to be a deeper reason as to why Lulusia was targetted. Perhaps they had information on the Void Century? Surely it wasn't just because Imu was bored?!
There's no deeper reason, they are among the major revolting Kingdoms, and Sabo happened to be there to know about Imu so he decided to nuke him with the island.

I mean gorosei said what an unlucky man.
Sabo said he knows of the empty throne secret.
they are obviously there for sabo.

Dragon and Blackbeard's portrayal recently has just been... ugh. Dragon not trusting his own 2nd-in-command, Blackbeard - even as a Yonko - not having the confidence to take on a retiree.

Don't know what Oda has planned for them, but I hope it's something worthwhile

This not only heavily nerfed Imu's feat, but also proves how disconnected Oda is from world building. A power like this should be addressed with more care, having Imu target Sabo for seeing him would make sense, but Lulusia is an irrelevant country, there are various other islands more worthy of a nuke. But yeah for now what you said makes sense. Basically this lol
I think it's because of the "Eight Nation Revolution that happened recently". Imu was trying to make an example of Lulusia and send a warning sign to other would be rebellious nations.

To make them fear that for any country that decides to break away from the world government, it will be as if that country never existed.
