Naruto was talking to Kawaki and then he said something along the lines of "If this were to happen, there's no point in me becoming Hokage". Naruto isn't gonna regret his dream he worked his entire childhood toward (he worked harder trying to get Sasuke back though). He loves the village, and treats it as part of his family.
Boruto's anime filler are almost always crap, though.
