I’m not opposed to the idea, but Aokiji’s words to Smoker don’t seem to me like a man who is secretly a Marine.

Akainu is extremely misunderstood man. The idea that he is an unquestioning Celestial Dragon follower was debunked with the introduction of Ryokugyu. Sakazuki called out the Gorosei to their face, lol. He definitely has his own agenda for his own justice which does not always align with the Government.

This doesn't confirm that Elbaf isn't happening. Of course it will. Vikings and Pirates are literally Oda's thing. We probably won't get Elbaf until after Hachinosu, though.
