Do really people think that Kaido will be a disappointment?
Every main saga villain so far have been impressive AF during their own arc: Crocodile, Ener, Lucci, Doflamingo and Katakuri they all looked pretty much invincible during their own arc, before their defeat... and none of them was even remotely as hyped as Kaido for their strength, none of them was ever referred as the strongest creature in the world, none of them was at the apex of the verse.
The Oden flashback made people forget already what beastly feats he showed: low diffing two supernova crews, one-shotting someone who just defeated Katakuri, coming unscathed from the same hits that were turning a YC1 and a Shichibukai into a bloody pulp and this is a not serious Kaido. Now imagine him going 100%. Kaido will be simply insane.

- I think Numbers won't live up to the hype that they are above Flying 6 .

- Smoothie could very well dissapoint again as well

- Compote . she didn't do anything in WCI . i believe she will finally get some feats here though , but i doubt she will look stronger than Oven/Daifuku ( let alone Perospero )

or really any other Veteran tier character . Vergo/PH Smoker/Page1/Pica

- i expect Luffy to shock Kaido briefly , but i might be dissapointed in the end .

All Oda's given has been disappointment after disappointment for the last few years. Oda's really amazing when it comes to flashbacks, but look at how much of a train wreck the Oden flashback was. He's always been bad at fights though, so expect the absolute worst.

Expect stuff like Brook blitzing yonko, Chopper blocking their attacks and Nami hammering them with their own weapons...

...

Oh wait...that's already happened...

Ya'll don't make it easy to try and stay positive lol.

I think Wano is the point Oda has been trying to get to for almost the last 8 years. Its why fights have been offscreened through WCI especially, and the Strawhats have received minimal "growth" periods (save for like Luffy and Usopp in DR). Here, Oda has been slowly introducing Kaido's crew (we may even get more info this chapter) and reintroduced Big Mom's whole crew for a reason. NOW is the time to spend 50+ chapters dealing with 2 Yonko and their respective crews.

I think it will happen and it will be satisfying, but:

1. Prepare for the Yonko to lose, as every villain
2. Prepare for some Enies Lobby level of powerup the main characters gain to win in their respective matchups.

If thats "disappointing", then I REALLY don't understand what half of you want from this Manga. Yes, I hope its a brutal, slow crawl to victory this arc. It needs to be brutal and long just so we understand the effort takes to taking these people out.

Considering my (our) lofty ambitions for Zoro and Oda's greater interest in the Captain Trinity, Zoro will probably disappoint me.

But that is expected. Beyond that, I expect Big Mom to disappoint. Kaido will look awesome till we reach the end, when you will all realize that he was a fraud and be disappointed.

Talking about characters "disappointing" is not the same and much more subjective than the arc being disappointing, bad or boring etc. Different topic. For example, there were a lot of annoying things at the end or all throughout the WCI, and definitely many found the portrayal of BM or Katakuri "disappointing", even while the main fight was a great highlight, including Katakuri's (and most of Big Mom's) feats until the very end. Disappointing has a lot to do with personal wishes of domination of characters and so on.
But then there are also Oda's habits (not entirely unique in shonen manga/anime) of temporarily nerfing characters or not letting them behave in their most effective way to create fake tension (Edit: or arguably give someone else the spotlight). Actually, this mostly let me think of Luffy. I wouldn't even be surprised if a Flying Six got a first shot in on Luffy... But I'm slightly optimistic something like this won't happen.
And I don't doubt most of the end war will be fantastic, whoever is "disappointing".
In my opinion this is kind of joke or "game" thread. Mostly just for fun.

It is more fandom of specific character or group of characters that are going to be disappointed because they had their hopes too high.
It's as simple as that. People always want their favourite to shine, and if it doesn't happen, then the story is shit. It's a human feeling.
I would personally be disappointed if zoro and sanji didn't solo a commander but that's life. I will still enjoy One Piece.
Also I want to see luffy having by far the biggest impact on the battlefield.

Or characters aren't as cool or interesting as one would had hoped (for the story). Like might be the case for Kidd, for example. (And other reasons.) However Oda still makes sure that enough things are interesting and satisfying for an end war.

Minks and Red Scabbards.
The Minks are in biggest part randoms and their hidden power isn't a world shaking thing, confirmed by Oven.
The history of Red Scabbards didn't make us find greatness in them as characters or enjoy them,or care about them, and have been showed how the enemy sides is full of characters that can wip them away,as was showed one of the Numbers defeating alone four of their most powerful members in their flashback, and Kanjuro was revealed be match for Kawamatsu.
