I really don't have any reason to watch one piece other than to find out what it is. oda's kinda sexist and racist and all my favorite characters get the shaft. he skips fights and switches scenes too much. There's nothing I'm really looking forward to in the story.
Elbaf would be tricky to write. People always talking about how match ups are going to happen. How in the world are you going to have match ups with giants. We did not get decent match ups in Wano.
If elbaf would have also had shanks somehow involved yes. But uncovering vegapunk history as well as world building and possible new WG villians isn't bad either.

These four chapters of punkhazard 2.0 arc has been so lame. Wano started off really hype (marco's note, big mom and kaido talking on den den mushi, etc) but Egghead has been nothing but lame robots nonstop. So yes, Elbaf is what I preferred Oda write. Vegapunk to me feels so much like a filler character. Why do we need him to tell us about devil fruit origins? Shouldn't that be covered with the void century?
No, because Elbaf is probably going to be a long arc. Another long arc after an INCREDIBLY long arc would leave a bad taste in just about anyone’s mouth. It makes sense to have a smaller arc or two to allow a breath of fresh air.
Elbaf will probably happen, but not until after Fullalead I presume.

Have you been paying attention to how One Piece is written? The four chapters we’ve gotten are just the setup. Egghead isn’t a major arc like Wano because there isn’t an obvious goal like taking down Kaido and ultimately saving Wano and its people.
Vegapunk is the perfect choice to tell us about the origins of Devil Fruits because he has been stated to know the most about them. He knows how to make inanimate objects gain their powers and artificial Devil Fruits. To have anyone else explain this stuff would be absolutely disappointing.
More about Devil Fruits could be explained along with the Void Century later on, but there’s no reason why we can’t learn a bit more about them now.
The arc might only be about 15 chapters long. I think we can wait a little while longer.
Oda’s probably going to focus on tidying up the loose ends of the story before we get into new stuff. Kuma has been a mystery since his reveal in Thriller Bark.
We don’t know why Kuma sent the Straw Hats to all those places and why he chose to become a weapon. We also don’t know much about his past other than him being a king at one point.
If we can get through Wano, then I think we can manage something like Egghead.
You cannot be serious right now. Is this your first time reading one piece?
This arc will be at minimum 50 chapters. We are 3 chapters in and we have only met 2/7 Vegapunks. And that's only MEETING them, each one of vegapunks still has to play role in the story, which means each one of them will eat up massive panel time.

Why should we care about fodder like Kuma this late into the story?
Instead of focusing on characters like Blackbeard, Shanks, Admirals, Imu, Gorosei, Dragon.... we are focusing on one of the weakest Dragon's subordinates. It's a fucking joke.
Him saving strawhats is obvious enough because luffy is dragon's son. We don't need that shit spelled out like retards.

And that's only just Vegapunk.

…Okay? I’m just saying that I realistically don’t expect Egghead to be 50 chapters long. Sabaody Archipelago was 24 chapters long, so I’m expecting it to be at most 25-30.
If it’s similar to Punk Hazard then maybe 40, but other than CP0 there doesn’t seem to be many enemies. Oh, and a bunch of giant children don’t have to take up 60% of the arc either, so that’s cool.
I wouldn’t say Kuma is fodder. His ability to send people flying for three days and three nights and compress air into a explosive attack seems rather powerful. And this is just two of the things he can do.
This arc seems like it could be fun, but we shouldn’t assume it’ll be crap going off of a few chapters. Perhaps I’m just being optimistic, but that’s just how I am. You do you, I’ll do me.

We don't need another arc with 70% set up and 30% fights and 0% story progression. We don't need to spend multiple chapters of set up. Oda needs to get to the fucking point and end this arc as quickly as possible.
If VP is going to tell us about the origin of devil fruit then Oda needs to get to the point already, we don't need to spend multiple chapters of detour and meeting these lame robots.
