I think it was because of the amount and level of haki he had to use to counter the disease DF power prior. Law doesn't use haki very often in battle so the amount of haki he possess probably isn't a lot.

Zoro fans use to say Laws best one on one feats were against Vergo. He'll now get 1v1 feats against a Yonko where Zoro's best 1v1 came against a Mere commander in King

2 of Zoro's best feat are against Yonkos. That was before he obtained ACoC.

He blocked hakai, a Yonko combination attack, and saved the rooftop SN. That was a 2v1 battle against Kaido and Big Mom.

He bested Kaido in a 1v1 battle. During that same battle he scarred Kaido. One of the best feats in the manga.
