Character Discussion According to Vivre card, King is the head of All stars

Why do some people still argue that they are all equal? Just coz Katakuri and Cracker are sweet commanders, doesn't mean they are equal, even without that set, there's a hierarchy that defines by strength.

"The All Star who dances in the sky shining in his flame : King the Wildfire"

The leader of the supreme "All Stars" of the Beast Pirates, in other words he is a trusted subordinate with hold the highest strength after Kaido. His whole body including his face, is covered in a black outfit and, as his pseudonym describes, he has a flame always burning behind his back next to his huge wings. The silent and calm appearance guy is the one, who control with no objection the large family of Beasts Pirates as Kaido's right hand. He still has his torture sadistic side to show.

The tip of the brush can be defined in any manner whichever suits the description, either way, he's canonically the second strongest after Kaido.
Yeah and based on what was shown in the manga the translation should be first as we’ve never seen him act as a leader of the all stars, but we were shown in the manga that he was the first of them and the most notable with the highest bounty.

Lmao, Jack legit reports to King, and King also scolds Queen about Udon affairs, which is supposed to be Queen's jurisdiction. Why would he do that if it's none of his business? He has authority over them—it's not because he's the first to join or anything. King is the second highest authority after Kaido, and Queen's attitude towards him doesn't change that.

Big news….

About his sadistic / torture side needing to be shown later : lol. Oda really changed his mind mid way about his character. King was just stoic and calm, only mad when his gimp outfit was broken and even this lasted 2 seconds.
Once again good writing job
Tbh I’m of two minds there. Originally against Zoro, King is shown playing around with Zoro, humoring him with CQC, using Jackpot to try and get Zoro to kilo himself, mocking Zoro “Do you have all three swords yet?”.

But none of this is especially sadistic lol. I think the vivre card speculated on Kings behavior and personality and used Queen’s statement as the basis for it, instead of having Oda directly say King had a sadistic streak or anything.

Yeah King can be a bit arrogant and playful but it’s not particularly sadistic

For his first introduction Oda gave us that : from Queen mouth Oda gave us a clue about King supposed personality : you torture loving freak.

And clearly Oda never delivered / forgot / retconed that aspect of his personality during the arc.

King should have been more colorful at first and ended up a bit too bland

Just think about Queen is only 2 years younger than Kaido and he is I think 8-10 years older than King. Imagine a 15-17 year dude being appointed above you, being your senior when you are a mid twenties guy. No wonder Queen is so bitter all the time and has that attitude with King.

Kata is the only YC1 that is equal to the other commanders, even a vet level character wanted to pull rank on him.

Lolda sidelining and eventually dropping the ball HARD on the Beast Pirates in their one and only arc is super insulting, imo.
