Finally got around to watching it, great episode
I liked the fight, the Vollstandig, and I love the way Reishi is animated
Tho I didn't expect the invasion to start this episode but I'll take it

I can kinda see what you mean, but it might just be the modern animation

I think they over did it. The more tech we get the more we get obsessed with making things look perfect. The animation is great but they need to go easy on the use of white light imo. At the end of the day its anime, but new generation kids take that stuff seriously I guess. I even see clips of reanimated Naruto and some of the original artwork is lost when they overdo things like that. Just my 2 cents.

Definitely. Some animation from the early and mid 2000s hođds up really really well for shows that were released weekly.
That early Naruto and One Piece art style makes the worlds unique while these modern smooth cutting edge animations throw everything in the same bin kinda

This episode was fire just like the last 2. I love the pacing even though its kind of fast.

The Uryu/Ryuken moments were cool. Loved the remix to the Precipice of Defeat during Quile vs Ichigo. Mayuri and Yama's dialogue was also very well done. You can FEEL the tension, fear and urgency. The Quincies are intimidating AF. I'm loving this arc so far and its only about to get 10 times better.

I hate only getting one episode a week. And he fact that its being released in 4 cores means we have to wait more.

5/5 again.

Liked the narrative too

Quilge was great how he turned into a monster contrasting with his view on shingami being repugnant and evil

Also the depth of the badguys was more explored compared to before like the quincy here are acting upon revenge for their attempted genoside years ago
