How is this even an argument?
Gon, who was called a nen genius, sold his life for his prime power. And he then proceeded to bully Pitou. Netero is an even more genius fighter and Nen master. With experience well over a century. The guy basically started the Nen teachings. Had Netero actually tried, Pitou would be toast. But Netero had other stuff to do, namely, Fighting the damn king of the royal guards who himself negs the guards. And so, Netero swatted her away like a damn ant.

Pitou says that adult gon would be trouble for Meruem. That's not confirmation. That's pitou's opinion. But pitou can only understand her own power relative to Gon's. Adult gon is a brute force fighter on a timer. He would be child's play for Meruem to dodge lol. And he's significantly more fast, durable, and smarter than pitou.

"He wasn't trying trust me" lmao if he could have taken Pitou out in that moment or damaged her he would have. He didn't because he couldn't. Stop coping. He landed 1 surprise hit which literally did nothing to Pitou but distract her for a few seconds.
Netero would need to go all out to beat Pitou. It would be an extremely difficult fight for Netero and he would only be able to do it via experience and his speed advantage. From an aura perspective he is clearly weaker than the Royal Guards. He himself admitted that. Colt and Killua confirmed it.

I don't think people account for matchups
Adult Gon probably has more raw power than anyone but that's pretty much all he has
Netero has unparalleled attack speed which would make it pretty much impossible for Adult Gon to get close to him
Not to mention that he doesn't have Mereum's durability or intelligence so he can't just tank it and find a weak point then blow through it

Didn't Pitou straight up say that Adult Gon is on the same level as Meruem. She was thanking god that she'd be the one killed by him and not the King.
I would not be surprised that Gon can easily tank Netero's attacks. Gon has insane inhancer Nen at this point. And his speed is insane too. Pitou literally could not do anything even if she attacked him from behind at full speed, he still dodged point blank lol. She could not react to his attacks, same as she could not react to Netero's I guess except Gon attacks fucked her up way more. And we haven't even seen much from Gon, because Pitou was literal trash for him.

Aura is used to gauge strength by HxH characters, that doesn’t really amount to much in this case.
He is fast but best case scenario is as fast as Meruem, which is still nowhere near enough to touch Netero. Gon may have an aura as strong as Meruem, hell let’s say he has more AP, but he lacks agility, durability and intelligence. There’s no way for him to break Netero’s defence, he can smack him around indefinitely.
If that fails (highly doubt it) you know what’s waiting for gon

The thing is in a battle of Nen compatibility is a really big deal
Gon has more raw power than pretty much anyone in the verse but he couldn't be anywhere near as durable as Mereum
He's smart but Mereum was literally created to be a God amongst his race. He's a genius in just about every way, outsmarting and beating world level strategy game players after just a few games
To beat someone like Netero you have to be AT LEAST about as fast as Mereum, as smart as him, and as durable as him (if you wanna try the same tactic)
Gon has ranged attacks so he'll definitely have more options against Netero but I don't really know what that would do. Netero can easily block those and (from what we've seen) his statue is nigh indestructible
Plus iirc doesn't Gon have to stand still to use Jajanken? That's a huge disadvantage especially against someone like Netero lmao

- Pitou could see Netero's handmovements
- Mereum moved slower than one of Netero's handmovements....which is the only reason Netero survived that long.
