I also love when something is thoroughly explained, that is definitely one of the most important things for a story. But Togashi seems to be focused on powerscaling a lot because even when he wrote a one piece panel for Oda it was literally just Kaidou talking about how his subordinates have good Haki and how Luffy might also have good haki. It's not necessary, we aren't that dumb, simply show them using Haki in a fight, it's that easy, there's no need for a bunch of text about Haki, what it is, who has it, and what you think about it, that's too much. Just talk about Luffy and his Haki, and what you're going to do about him.

The over explained monologues are part of hxh's charm. We as humans over think a ton. That's basically what togashi's going for. The complex thoughts of a character.

It's similar to oda trying to flesh out his world too much. It's not gonna be liked by some people. But thats one of the things that make it different from other mangas.
