Is Bleach Better than Kingdom?

I'd say the only way for Kanki to fall is for Riboku to totally ignore Ousen which would result in his own demise
I imagine Ri Boku would account for any potential movement from any of the Ou Sen, Yo Tan Wa and Tai Gen armies.

Shi Ba Shou is bound to make his debut at some point. Kan Saro and Ji Aga may still be at Roumou or elsewhere with their lord.

Definitely, which is why it's safe to assume Kanki will make it out alive.

Aren't these two stationed with Riboku? They were part of the encirclement iirc.

I doubt we'll be seeing SBS any time soon, not with Ordo lurking the borders of Seika at least.

Just a quick summary of some highlights from the untranslated pages.

Shouheikun realizes that Riboku played them by allowing part of the Qin armies to make it through.
They also realize that Ousen hasn’t sent reinforcements because he can’t.
Then they talk about Kanki’s defeat being a defeat of the “6 Great Generals”

Ousen also talks about how hard they got played by Riboku.

Riboku says he was worried about facing Kanki and thought that Kanki is the only one that could beat him. Because Kanki uses tactics Riboku can’t use and can’t predict like sacrificing his own troops or killing civilians. And because of that and Kanki’s cruelty, Riboku decided he must absolutely kill him.

Riboku says he set up his trap in a way that would make Ousen be cautious and not advance further but would tempt Kanki into overextending.

Gaku Shou and Jyou Ka Ryuu were with Ri Boku.

Kan Saro and Ji Aga were in Roumou just days/weeks ago in the manga timeline. They could've remained at Roumou to frustrate any attempts by the Qin to send support to Gian from the North East. Perhaps they will anticipate another route by Ou Sen and Shi Ba Shou will appear there to stalemate them.

I think Shi Ba Shou will make an appearance soon.

LMAO , Riboku praising Kanki this much and even went to the point in accepting his inferiority really was out of expectations....

:myman:

But still with all traps and other measures, Kanki is inside Gian while it's Riboku who's doing encirclement. :afrokappa:

Currently Kanki might be cornered and looking like dead man but his calmness and smile clearly indicating that things are far from being over. Same goes for his Generals/core subordinates as well. Ten might be looking in panic but Shin is quite calm which is unexpected as well.

Chapter summary thanks to jeeswag and the TKC :

HSU:
Ten sent out scouts to check on the status of Sekirei and they send out 3 smoke signals. Ten sees this from Gian and says that 1 smoke means Sekirei is theirs but 3 means Zhao took it over again. She goes on to say that this means Riboku won't need to send any of his generals there and will focus entirely on them to everyone's dismay. Ringyoku says it's the worst scenario and Kokuou says it's over for them. She then tells Kanki they should run away at least just them and Marron says there's nowhere to go. Ten says that even if the situation's worse there's still hope. Shin asks if she's talking about HQ sending reinforcements and says all they can do now is fight until those troops arrive.

Kanyou:
Shoubunkun asks if reports of Kanki's army still hasn't come in and someone tells him that their most recent update is that the situation is unknown. Rishi says that after taking Atsuyo and moving deeper into Zhao they haven't heard anything and tells Shoubunkun that it's very unusual. Another official says they would have been able to send some sort of report by avoiding the Zhao but based on reports not a single Qin soldier has come back after moving into Zhao territory. Sei tells Shoubunkun that he's getting a bad feeling. If they're not getting any information on what's happening then it must mean the Zhao were properly prepared for the Qin's advance into the north, especially if the one preparing was Riboku.

Shouheikun says he also began to think that last night when they didn't receive a report from Kanki. He then wonders from what point the Zhao were prepared. He then says that even at Atsuyo and Roumou they lost half of their army before moving toward Gian. Rishi asks where he's going with this and Shouheikun says it's possible they were falling for his trap since the beginning. He then says that he himself may have underestimated Riboku too much.

Sei says if that's the case then they should send reinforcements right away. They don't know what's happened with Kanki inside of Zhao territory. Kaioku says to wait because it'll take time to put together an army capable of going because for something like this they'll need to gather about 100,000 soldiers. Also, even if they send them out now it'll probably be too late to get to Kanki in time. Shouheikun says that he sent a message to Ousen to send reinforcements to Kanki right away. The others agree that's a good choice because Ousen is closer and his help will get to Kanki much faster. Sei asks if there were any movements from Atsuyo and Shouheikun says there was nothing.

The officials are confused because they're freaking out all the way in Kanyou but how can there be no movement from those in Atsuyo? One official wonders if Ousen sees Kanki's situation and doesn't think it's worth sending reinforcements. Rishi suggests it could be that even if he wanted to send reinforcements he's unable to. He then tells Shouheikun that Kanki is no longer just a general but one of the 6 Greats. That is a symbol of Qin's might and if he were to lose and fall in battle then the Qin's morale will drastically take a blow and the Zhao will be more roused than ever. Shouheikun says he knows even if Rishi doesn't tell him and says he'll send another request to Ousen to send reinforcements as well as start gathering troops to be able to move out at any given moment. Sei asks him to hurry and tells Shoubunkun to tell the army watching Roumou to be able to help Kanki at any moment as well. He then thinks to himself that he hopes Shin is still alive.

Atsuyo:
Ousen and his generals are watching over the board and is given a report that they are unable to confirm Kanki's situation because when they send in people to go check those scouts don't return. Souou gets fed up and says he'll take 10,000 with him so he can take out the Zhao who are blocking them and go check the situation for himself. Denrimi says Kanki went in with 140,000 and wasn't able to get out so what makes him think he can do anything with 10,000. Souou says then he'll take 50,000 to which Denrimi gets mad. Ousen tells Souou to sit down. Souou says they have to send reinforcements or it'll be too late and asks if Ousen doesn't think Kanki's fallen for a trap. Ousen says that if they are to move then it'll be to take Roumou. He then says that they also need to check a city called Bunoh. Denrimi sees that it's the city west of Gian and wonders if there are troops there too. Ousen says that the way the Zhao are situated right now goes far deeper than what they can currently see. He knew something felt off when they first went in but for it to be to this extent...he says he underestimated Riboku too much.

Zhao:
Riboku receives a report saying there doesn't seem to be any effort from Kanki's soldiers to get to Gian to form up with Kanki. Futei says it's just like he expected, no loyalty or anything like it. Even when facing Kochou a bunch of them ran away. Riboku says even so it was Kanki who has won until now. Futei says he knows but there's nothing like that happening in this situation. Bananji says they were worried at first because of how incompatible Kanki and Riboku's styles were but in the end it appears Riboku came out the victor. Kaine says there's no way a scoundrel like Kanki would have been able to beat Riboku and Futei says despite that she was worrying all about "what if Riboku-sama loses?" to which she yells back she wasn't worried.

Riboku says that if he were to lose to anyone he was worried it would be to Kanki. Kanki does things that Riboku would never think of doing. Things like not caring about friendly or enemy soldiers, not caring about the citizens who aren't participating in the wars, and even the way he won at Kokuyou hills are things he cannot do. However, right now that Kanki is doing all he can to save his own neck. The other year when Kanki executed 100,000 Zhao he did it under the guise that it was "necessary" to Qin. But now the Zhao have become a place that wants to kill Kanki to the point where Sekirei even poisoned their own water. Riboku also knew that Kanki isn't someone that he can let live for long.

Bananji agrees and says he was looking forward to this day as well. He's been looking forward to this for 4 years and now Kanki is even holding the title of "6 Great." Riboku says even among the 6 Greats Kanki's name is the most well known and if they were to take his head there is no way it won't have an effect on the Qin. Bananji says the Qin will probably turn blue in the face. Riboku says most definitely. Riboku gets a report from the front and the rest goes back to their units. Riboku thinks to himself that he will not underestimate Kanki because there's no way he'll simply go down like this. However, this doesn't mean he'll let him get away. The Zhao expects Ousen to not make a move to come in to their territoy but Kanki's probably thinking he will. From the start their goal was to take Kanki's head in this war. The northern Zhao territory was built to show the difference between the two nations. Kanki's head will be used for that exact purpose. Riboku then ends it by saying it's time to close the curtains on Kanki and the Zhao army begins to head towards Gian.

No break next week!

But Riboku will prove his superiority over Kanki soon.:pepebusi:
Nahh.... a big failure coming soon.
:josad:

I wonder if they r still at Gian
Same here.... coz when Shin and others were talking initially in the chapter, sky there was like of evening while in the end when Riboku arrived it was like clear day time. Also currently there's no flag on the top of Gian.

Kanki might get one more W before he goes out probably.
I'm honestly conflicted.
50% of me thinks kanki is fucked
50% of me thinks riboku is getting outplayed like crazy
I'm really hyped. after a seemingly slower arc, it's amping up in the best ways possible
Same. Riboku vs Ousen in WZI arc was my favorite Riboku's fight, so unpredictable and hyped. But Riboku vs Kanki might be up there too.

Yeah the arc has been static for some time. I like Kanki themed battles and his guerrilla warfare, unorthodox methods. Things are getting exciting yet again finally.

One of my favourite parts of this series is the dynamic around some of the most fucked up shit, just how everyone reacts and how it can really make a massive shift is really nice. Adds a more chaotic and unpredictable vibe :steef:
