But then there are two key facts which many are ignoring

1)Having resources doesn't equate to having ability to utilize those resources efficiently.. you need skills and aptitude

One can have all the resources in the world but if he isn't capable or competent then it's a waste


2) Having resources doesn't equate to being genius

His resources were like aid in his inventions and this is true but this doesn't take away any ounce of credit away from him for being Greatest Genius

Most professional athletes work about as hard as Messi. Some are more physically gifted than him, yet we only have one Messi. It could be anything but clearly, there is something that sets him apart from the rest even for a professional athlete. You need not be aligned with any wing to understand this. Messi has good genetics for football lol. He's short, and had some growth disease or something. But that allowed him to have a lower center of gravity. That's a huge contributing factor in his skill.

It doesn’t really change anything realistically, Seraphim Jimbo still mid diffs Sanji but we’re merely debating the roots of the character that is Vegapunk and his place in the OP verse from the perspective of readers.

Not exactly correct. You need to have some level of skills. Hard work alone can't make you a pro. It is practically impossible. Hard work + skills will make you a pro. For instance, Usain Bolt can't become Messi and vice versa. No amount of hard work can make it possible.
Even genetically blessed people can't become pros without hard work or skills. The only difference you may see is the level of hard work you need to put but that is how real life goes.

I don't exactly think so. One piece demonstrated both views on many instances, lol. Given we have instances of punching or going against people with noble birth (Celestial dragons), a Fisherman/human slaves vs humans story, or even an end game of overthrowing the authoritarian world government and Celestial dragons are left aligned. On the other hand, Wano is full of right-aligned views.

In addition, birth 'alone' didn't make people great in One Piece. Even more so, birth didn't play a major role in becoming great. Ace became famous even without him being Roger's son. Rayleigh or Shanks didn't even help Ace just because he is Roger's son. He died because of his action even though he was a CoC user.

I think One piece conveys the point 'you can be great birth or normal birth, you will become great only based on your actions. So far, Akainu became fleet admiral, not because of his normal blood or noble blood but because his will for justice is at an entirely different level than other admirals. His having CoC will not take away nor will add anything to his 'will to act' for the justice he believed in.

I don't know jack shit about football but I do know both of them are exceptionally good. The notion that anyone can be Messi or Ronaldo just by working hard and being physically more capable is wrong on many levels IMO. I am sure there are other football players who are bigger than these two, work just as hard, and are still not nearly as great as these two.
