In Germany we call that "Sensationsgeilheit". It's normal for the media to create fear and uproar because it's good for their business. Those guys don't care how it affects people's lives. What we as a society have to do is to simply teach people not to trust everything the media says and to make up their own minds. A trait many people don't have.
Well no shit, Ukraine said it was Russia's Rocket, clearly lying. And not the first time they would blame things on Russia, just to admit it later or atleast ''half admit it''.
Any sane person can clearly read the news and can understand that no way Russia would pull such acts.
We don't know if Ukraine deliberately did it or not because it's obvious NATO would investigate first before taking any action so such intentional acts hold no meaning.
Most worrisome thing is how media instead of reporting based on facts jumped to the conclusion that Russia attacked Poland and how some people instead of cross - checking facts started panicking or going around talking about WW3.
We definitely need to set some sort of accountability for any types of media- they have highest reach when it comes to info diffusion.

It's mindboggling how many people wanted NATO to start attacking Russia for this alleged attack. Like these bums even understand what happens if an all-out war ensues?
Their job is to get your attention and write something interesting, they don't really care if it's accurate, it's been that way since newspapers and shit were first created, their credibility was always zero.
Radiation from nukes would spread all over the world you know.Even if only Russia and NATO duke it out.Everyone will suffer the consequences.New migration crisis can happen.Economic crisis will happen too thnx to globalized economy and so on.
This isn't 1950's and 60's. That time we just moved out of two back to back WWs.
And, what media pull these days isn't hype but bad reporting based on incorrect facts which literally goes against the institution of media - the supposed Fourth pillar of democracy

Depends on which media, though. Govt funded yeah, but private companies can do what they want. It's up to the consumers to punish them or hold them accountable by not buying their products. But what sells just sells. If people still buy that crap, no need for them to change.
