Hmm i didn't got the vaccine, it was a mix of not being sure of the side effects, not immediate side effects, no one would have got it if people started dropping like flies and ofc it's easy to stumble upon news of people dying bc of it and getting a bad opinion, but for the long term ones.
Like afaik it takes a couple of years to FULLY test a vaccine and be aware of what it can cause in the long run,i remember cases that happened here in italy .......
Where they had to vaccine people against something ( a bacteria or something don't remember precisely what it was ) and after 3/4 years they decided not to do it anymore on women because a good amount of them started having bad reactions years after doing it multiple times and replaced it with a new version of it.
I'm lucky though cuz i work from home and have to go to the office like only once a year, i also have A TON of space at home and basically a private beach xD so i can handle " quarantine " like a breeze, and also when this whole thing started i also started being really focussed on my job so kinda stopped hanging out that much.....ofc i have been respectfull and always used a mask and tried to avoid crowded places.....
Though if i was for whatever reason forced to do it ( like losing my job or having to go in places where i could have been a danger for others i would have done it.....)
I also got covid twice ( from friends that came to my house
) but barely had any symptoms like a very light cold....

As Adam said, people who benefits from vaccines far out numbers the people who got any side effects.
And, you people need to understand that covid vaccines weren't 100% effective to begin with. It's because first due to how quickly these were made(Vaccine development takes years of research) and second due to the frequent mutations we were seeing. That's why some doctors said it won't be as effective but this doesn't mean they said don't take vaccines.
The vaccines were advocated to give you enough immunity boost to prevent you falling into critical conditions if you get covid. And, it did remarkable job in this regard

We had anti vax wave here and that same wave got fucked hard by COVID, they filled hospitals with their un vaxed asses so much so that when my grandma broke her rib doctors had to send her home after examination because they didn't have room in the hospital or manpower to give proper treatment
My grandma would end up dying few days later because some fucktards that can't grasp the concept doctors know more than their primary school ass flogged the hospital when she needed it the most

Covid got highly mutated with multiple strains. A covid vaccine can boost immunity but not against all strains that's why immunity won't be that high.
But does this means vaccines doesn't work? Hell no.
Vaccine were really effective and scientists did remarkable job in making them as effective as they can in such little time.

what medical consensus?we only get to see docs saying whatever the big media says,the ones that don't get silenced.I know a guy that was told by his doc not to take the vaccine because it might be dangerous since he has a health condition.Not everyone CAN take these vaccines because of health issues.
All of my knowns took vaccines and they all are fine with one exception - a friend of mine who took multiple dosages and got sick really bad. She even got covid 4 times till now even after taking vaccines and got hospitalized few times.
When I talked to her about this then she said it's not that vaccines are issues or these not effective but she had immunity issues and some inherent issues from the beginning. Despite getting sick she found vaccines effective

We do know the long term effects of vaccines though:

There is nothing fundamentally different about the Covid vaccine vs any other vaccine except that it protects from severe Covid symptoms. None of the other vaccines have long term side effects, neither will the Covid vaccine. This is medical consensus.
