World War 3

Because he is quoting church officials rather than Jesus himself while saying church speaks for Jesus

Jesus was hands down one of the most accepting human beings that ever lived - Didn't matter who or what you are

And these MOFO's somehow thinks he would discredit those who only sin is love

Makes no sense
Jesus walked around criminals, vagrants and prostitutes.Because these are the people that needed help the most.I agree with you.But he was not there to make them feel good, his mission was to teach them the right path.

But Adam said Jesus never talked about it.

So why there is difference in perspectives?
Because there‘s different versions of the Bible. There are also parts which were added by the Church later to push their agendas. And many people also interpret parts differently. Jesus was a very forgiving person in any version who advocated for peace and for people to get along, though.

Oh okay

So church simply made things to push their agenda? Doesn't this and what they said goes against Bible or does Bible mention anything which Nameless said?

I‘m glad there‘s still a few sane people who advocate against war.
Thats easy we wouldn't survive a allout war against russia.:catsweat:

You know,It's kind of funny. The same people who used to scream for Peace in every war they didn't started are now the ones screaming for total war against russia hardly that they are in power. A lying,double-Talking gang I tell you.

Scholz is such an idiot.

I hate to say this, but I miss Merkel. Scholz can go sell his wife to china and his kids to Russia or w/e
True, but our whole gouverment are idiots. And the most idiotic are the People who voted for them.

Oh so there are different versions of Bible.

I didn't know this.

But why?

And yet the word of Jesus is that of love, respect and acceptance when you look at his 2 commandments

Literally things gay people.want
Yes."God hates sin,but loves the sinner".I don't have any personal opinion against homosexuality,i need to research this stuff more. But the Church clearly has, that is their faith. The State has no right to say what religion should or should not preach.

The core of Christianity is forgiveness, love and peace. The push against homosexuality was started by Church officials in the Middle Ages because they needed people to have kids, so they had enough soldiers for their wars. Giving birth was difficult enough back then for commoners, so homosexuality would have only reduced the birth rates further which they didn‘t want. Please consider WHEN something was written. The first translated versions of the Bible were published in the late Middle Ages and the texts have been in the hands of the Clerus which was made of Aristocrats who didn‘t get mundane power for a very long time, so they‘re obviously filled with their agendas and no longer the original texts.

Bible is made out of two parts.

Old Testament which is events before Jesus - a lot of Judaism and a lot of what would become Muslim religion

New Testament which is events during and post Jesus - this in essence is what Christianity should be

And it was in early years, then as politics progressed church was adopted as a way to control masses more and more. It caused A LOT of division and internal struggles.

Wheres Jesus was preaching liberty, love, acceptance, respect in New Testament, Old Testament was all about control and conservatism - which suits rulers of ancient times more.

First split of Christianity was between Catholicism and Orthodoxy - because one believed Church isn't what it is supposed to be

Second split of Christianity was between Protestants and Catholics - because protestants believed Church is too corrupt (which it was and still is)

Catholic Church now - and mind you i was raised in strict catholic house - Is very corrupt and very anti Jesus while pro old Testament. Hell Jesus said being wealthy is fine as long as you give portion of wealth to those in need - guess which organization doesn't pay taxes, is insanely wealthy and used to sell church positions for money while also forcing people to pay money for sins to be forgiven

Hence why you can't say Church is Jesus while you can say Jesus is the Church

You can't say something is the sin when the literal founder of the religion said that same thing is what he believes is most important - LOVE

Many people don‘t know that, while the Church and Aristocracy were seen as two different entities and pillars of power in the Middle Ages, they were actually one and the same because positions in the Church were given to Aristocrats, too.

Not really

I am not a religious person so just got curious when nameless made that statement.

And, it seems @NAMELESS lied to me because Jesus never said that
Yes he did.I will google the correct quote.I didn't lie.Just stated the correct expression of human sexuality to be between man and woman.

There are translation issues and some non-catholic christians don't accept certain books as cannon.Obey the 10 commandements and search up what Jesus himself said and you will be fine.
Also, check out @Udell thread about heaven and stuff. We discuss religion there. This is a politics thread.

There's clear biblical narrative against the homosexual. This is reaffirmed by all creed and Christians theologians view throughout the Centuries. It's one the most consistent stance over all denomination

As you probably know, in modern times people took the revisionists approach of all religions and their issues on certain positions to keep the line with liberal humanism but this approach gain heavy polemics, massive debates and in many ways unorthodox approach to how the texts is being interpreted

Love is important.Christians don't bash homosexuals, the ones that do are sinning."Don't judge anyone,so you are not judged".But we need to say to them:buddy, your sexual practices are what god intended. That is it,only warnings.Who judges whoever deserves what is God,not the pope or the people.
