Currently there are 3 types of Christianity

Catholicism - Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Croatia, Slovenia, South Germany, France, Portugal

Orthodoxy - Ukraine, Serbia, Russia, Bulgaria, Greece

Protestant - North Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, UK, i think Nethersland too not sure

So orthodoxy are different from Catholics lol

Because in the Middle Ages at least the Bible was written in Latin which the common folk couldn‘t understand. Only the Church and Nobles could, so the normal people could only take their word for it. But one day Martin Luther translated the Bible into English and German, so normal citizens could read it.

I guess that's the same with all religions in that period
