I understood few things

Catholic Church is orthodox and based on Old Testament which was written prior to Jesus was born

Protestants are based on New Testament and follows the teachings of Jesus.

Catholic Church goes against homosexuals but Protestants don't as Jesus never talked about it.




Don't want to meddle between these two groups but why follow what Church says when the one whom you treat as God - Jesus advocate something opposite? Why not go with what your God says?

Catholic church came up with the new testament a few centuries after Jesus died.i think it was around the third-fourth century.Protestants do read both testaments,they just don't accept some books as cannon.That is it.Also,the roman caholic church did in fact assimilate some pagan practices into christianity and some people saw that as form of corruption of Jesus teachings.I'm fine with this,because it was a way to incorporate the many different europpeans into christianity.The core of Jesus teachings is still there,just because we have some holydays based on some pagan whatever doesn't change that.
