Fine i'll say something nice about a particular man that i hold in high respect
During Yugoslav wars 30 years ago my Mom and my older brother (1 year old at the time) didn't have anywhere to go and this MAN offered my mom shelter for 2 years free of charge while my dad was on front lines. He and his family kept my family safe and secure, fed and rested for 2 years.
After war ended my parents and they remained very good friends. Naturally as i grew older and learned what this man did for my family I held him in high respect. His children became good friends of mine to this day
That man unfortunately got lung cancer and was told he will die in year max. The dude didn't stop smoking for shit and lived his life best he could until the end. He ended up living 4 years instead of 1, witnessing birth of a grandson and granddaughter
The day he died he told his wife: Honey today is the day i die. He then took his cigars, went on a bench in his yard, smoked his last one and passed away in peace and quite.
He was a great man, i won't be able to thank him enough for what he did for my family or teaching me to live with full lungs. Rest easy my G
