Controversial Garp the original Smoker

Garp's title is rigged, the premise being spread around the world that "the pirates of the Rocks they all met their end that day at the fists of the navy hero garp"...

The pirates lost that day, but I disagree that they were all defeated, I have a strong indicator for this, after the randoms break the news, we have Big Mom looking for Kaidou and Big Mom appears to be totally unharmed, with no wraps (bandages) on her body.




Everything leads to believe that only Xebec fell that day, Shiki, Kaidou, Big Mom and the others, just stopped fighting when Xebec lost possibly 1x2 to Garp and Roger, as well as Shiki lost 1x2 to Garp and Sengoku...

In addition to being spread a lie that it was only Garp, they were still lied to the point that everyone was defeated that day... It's not just
a lie being told to favor the portrait that Garp has today, there are two... That's why Kaidou will never put him alongside the legends even witnessing his strength alongside Roger in 1v2 against Xebec...



1 - "The Pirates of the Rocks saw their end by the fists of the hero Garp", a lie already confirmed, Garp needed the help of Roger and the other members of Roger's gang as Rayleigh who was shown between the lines of the movie Red being present in God Valley ...

2 - "All the pirates of the Rocks were defeated", second lie around the garp, Big Mom unharmed is there to confirm it.



The most extraordinary portrait of Garp that made his name is simply a blatant lie, he beat Shiki in 1x2 next to Sengoku another shit portrait, and he still trained to beat Chinjao who was never at the level of Rayleigh and the others, Chinjão when old was defeated by Luffy in Dressrosa, would Rayleigh as an old man lose to Luffy's version in Dressrosa? No...
Rayleigh is on another level when compared to Chinjao and that makes Garp even more trash.

Idk about Garp getting negged but the God Valley stuff does make me question him a bit I used to think of Garp and Roger as equals because they have a clear rivalry/relationship, almost killed each other etc. With Smoker there’s a clear rivalry/relationship with Luffy and he’s hunted him since the beginning rising through the ranks as Luffy gets higher status as a pirate, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re equal. Also Smoker can’t accept being given all the praise for something they know their pirate rival was essential for and that’s the vibe I get from God Valley, ofc Garp played a major role but we need more context. Xebec was Roger’s greatest foe and so Roger most likely 1v1 and defeated him, unless we find out Garp tagged in for a 2v1 situation, what were the matchups, who else was there? This event granted Garp the title of hero for which is used in arguments to put Garp on a higher pedestal than other marine characters when in the narrative he isn’t presented as a different level than Sengoku and yet I never see Sengoku treated as if he’s on a different pedestal to current era admiral characters. Then we have Roger saying to marines if you’re going to challenge me at least send Garp or Sengoku which for me it sounded like “either will do at the very least”, unlike with Whitebeard it feels very clear that they were equals as rivals at their peaks. At least that’s how it sounded to me maybe I’m wrong. Smoker and Garp honest hardworking marines, rivaled pirate king, considered as the pk friend/frenemy, both detest world govt higher ups/ celestial dragons, both given full credit for victories they shared with pirates and they aren’t proud of it. This isn’t an attempt to slander Garp or anything he’s still a legend but idk if he’s a strong as we think.

Remember Strawhats are the ones that beat Baroque Works and Smoker got the credit for it.Similar to how WG would hide what happened at Golden Valley giving Garp the title of the Fake Hero

Another reason his fight with Chinjao the man had to train to beat him and even struggled
A 500m pirate like imagine prime Wb or Roger struggling or needing training
The Smoker and Garp paralell doesnt end there both Luffy and Roger considers them friends

It s clear he s a fraud.Marines in general are frauds
Kaido also fought at God Valley he had Roger and Wb on his 5 no sight of Garp

Yeah,but Garp was invited into the ranks of the admirals and he did fight the rocks pirates too.Also,he fought PRIME Chinjao,not the old cry baby we saw in dressrosa.Bounties can be deceiving,Robin has like over 900 million and she isn't old Chinjao Level.

Garp is a huge disappointment to be honest, I get that he's old as shit but his first ever display of real power knocks around a few buildings and that's it, compare that to his prime where he claimed to obliterate mountains for training dummies in his prime, what a downgrade holy shit.

He seemed to be post-God Valley Garp. That sounds pretty Prime.

I also don't agree he's a fraud, but the only way to justify his battle with Chinjao is to assume that Chinjao was a top tier that became fodder later.
