no that's just a misconception most fans have because they have no real indication whether CoC haki is being infused or not. Asura is conquerors haki itself.

Black lightning from a clash or attack colliding with its target is not an indication CoC haki was used. But black lightning released from an attack, weapon, or whatever a fighter is usually to attack prior to attacking is an indication CoC haki is being used.

Go back and reread Zoro's clash with Kaido. He didn't mention anything about Zoro's attack being coated with CoC. Kaido knows that is a rare ability only a few of the strongest possess. He didn't even think Luffy could do it and laughed at Luffy. If Zoro's attacks would have been coated with CoC Kaido would have mentioned it.

It’s damn obvious he used adCoC. We literally have Kaido mention that adCoA is not deep enough to leave scars and in the rooftop Zoro attacked Kaido a few times and never left a scar. The moment CoC is named dropped Zoro manages to leave a scar and you guys think it’s coincidence?

Luffy attacks being to shallow had nothing to do with ACoC. That was about Luffy's inability to release a lot of CoA haki from his body. Luffy coating his attacks with CoC made up for his weak CoA flow skills.

Asura itself is conquerors haki whether "black lightning" was visual shown is irrelevant. Even if kaido didn't outright confirm the indication was implied. Basically it was foreshadow since Ennis lobby.
