I cant wait for Hancock to use coc on those marine fodders

Boa and her bitches > mihawk and his monkeys :kayneshrug:

But nah all the shichibukai are gonna have to haul ass as soon as vegapunks creation comes for their ass. And the scary thing is even mihawk is fucked lol
Why do people keep talking about those monkeys like it was meant to be something special. Zoro defeated them pre time skip before he asked Mihawk to train them.

I’m thinking ‘Sword’ is a rebel faction within the marines founded by Garp that are against the way the Gorosei run tings.

Fact that Garp told Neptune to not be scared of humans and that marines are trying to solve the problem Indicates that some marines are working behind to scenes to. Since ordinarily the marines don’t really give a shit. Or rather, don’t have any power to do anything about it.

Also the fact that Drake is communicating with Coby & that even Kizaru doesn’t know about sword further hints that this unit was created by Garp given Coby trained under Garp.

Lastly, if this sword unit is tied to Garp, chances are that Aokiji is currently under cover for sword as well under BB given he’s also connected to Garp & and like Coby & Drake, give off a feel of righteous/uncorrupt marines.
Interesting, maybe Cody is actually going to Boa to recruit her not to try to capture her.

I would really like that!

Lazy is the way
I agree with what you said but what garp is trying to do to balance things out? He is trying to go on with an institution which is getting more corrupt day by day. What good he will achieve by carrying on like this?

He is supporting or turning blind to acts of horror(WG acts) to stop preventing the rise of another act of horror (pirates). And, in the end he isn't succeeding in checking either of them.

He is the only D in the family who hasn't shown traits of being a D and cherishing freedom.

To me, the only reason that his portrayal is so conflicted could be due to the fact that he might be knowing about one piece and void century
I think that Garp with his strength and with the navy powers managed to prevent and to say exactly numerous lives during all his carrer. And he can do what he wants and arrest all the criminal he wants with the navy approval. He has total liberty to save people as long as it doesn't interfer with the WG plans or threaten them.

But I totally agree with you that is the respectable toy of the WG to cover a lot of their shit. The Hero propaganda, the legend of the Marine etc is a thing put in place to strengthen the navy image and the WG image too. Garp's public image is a tool for the WG to have a clean face and for the people to still want to obey to the WG.
For me Garp know that and even if he didn't commit horrendous acts himself he is accountable.

If we can make a review of Garp life he is clearly not a bad guy : he likely saved a lot of good people, and arrest or beat the crap of a lot of bad ones. He was also in an era where no one seemed to oppose the WG so he might have think that the WG was the best solution instead of the chaos.
But he is not totally pure because he was part of an organization who has a lot corpses in his closets, who promotes slavery, discriminations etc, who allowed mass murder (Ohara) or wanted tons of money to be protected by the WG. And he let such organisation use his image to help it.

But for me with that kind of strength he had he could have quit protect some huge territories and made it a peace land with fair rules. Or he could have wanted to break the wheel himself and overthrow the WG.

The only real big boy is Dragon. The guy is the real hero.

You can't win
Since the subject is about the Shichibukais now, i'd talk about an old theory of mine:

1- Origin of the seven warlords: they are based on the 7 heroes of from the 1993 Japanese game Romancing SaGa 2 https://saga.fandom.com/wiki/The_Seven_Heroes

2- Among those 7 heroes, you'd notice:

- Noel: A master swordsman who always keeps his word. Noel is very powerful, with a strict code of honor, chivalry, and loyalty. If Rocbouquet is defeated before he is fought, however, he becomes completely unwilling to compromise, and becomes unrelenting in combat.

- Rocbouquet: The only female of the seven, she is the most human-looking of the group. She loves controlling men to do her bidding and controls all the men in the Jungle villages. While there, she aspires to know the secret of a nearby temple. Her Temptation skill charms all male party members. She is also the sister of Lord Noel.

Does it remind you of someone? Yes Mihawk and Hancock. I wonder if Oda will go that route

I hope Oda does that. That sounds cool.
