That seems way too long. What would make Egghead interesting after 10-15 chapters? There’s no princess to save (unless you’re counting Bonney), and Vegapunk just asked Luffy to take him somewhere else.

It's not ending soon, Kizaru was just confirmed to be arriving and Kuma is also arriving. Also as I said before we still have to see two backstories in this arc as well, Oda could also add other stuff during this arc to drag it a bit more longer.

30 to 40 chapters is not that long, if the arc lasts more than 50 chapters then yeah that seems way too long.

Some people also thought that the WCI arc was going to be a short arc with simply saving Sanji and escaping, but as we know that wasn't the case.

Though it's still extremely debatable what the Lunarian ability actually is lol.
And that's really strange, it makes sense that Oda saved that in the King fight to later give the exposition dump this arc with Seraphims.
I used to think it was just extremely high levels of durability/toughness but now i'm conflicted between that and just complete invulnerability in flame mode with tradeoffs in speed mode.

KoH Zoro scared King to the point where he started blocking instead of taking his offense with his durability but on the other hand, there's still not a single panel in sight where Oda had someone harm a flame mode Lunarian... not Zoro, not Greenbull, not Blackbeard (with S-Hawk).
Makes me wonder when Oda's going to finally give it more exposition.
What are your thoughts on it though?

I been preaching that Lunarians defense is impenetrable skin for the longest. This makes the most sense from what we witnessed feat-wise.

Kuma might teleport them away, either before or after Kizaru gets there. He may be an ally, or a foe. Why would it take 30-40 chapters for Vegapunk to get off the dang island? I don’t see why Oda would write such a request this early on rather than 20 chapters from now.

As for the WCI thing, considering Big Mom was a Yonko I’m not surprised the arc went on as long as it did. This isn’t a Yonko arc though, and the last one will probably be with Shanks and/or Buggy. Although I would hope a fight with them wouldn’t go on for Wano length

40-50 chapters is a comfy arc to deal with Kizaru and potentially whomever he brings. I'm sure Sentoumaru and potentially even the real Kuma may be "antagonists" in this arc for separate reasons.

It's funny, I've actually been calling through Luffy vs Kizaru thing for a few years now, and also believe Zoro vs Kuma rematch has potential to happen as well. Both super broken powers that make the Comps pretty interesting
