Smoker has been left in the dust. Currently I can't see him ever reaching Luffys level. Crocodile should be his ceiling and that's not too bad.
You expect Luffy to teach Lucci levels next week? Might happen. Luffy goes from God to Demon when somebody hurts his friends. But Lucci is something else as well. No other character except perhaps admirals and Garp have been as hyped as him in the entire Marines and WG.

Flower, iirc weren't you 1 of the biggest Luffy wankers during the OJ days in WCI arc? Iirc you were among the ones pushing both "Big Mom will fall in WCI" and "Luffy will defeat Katakuri".

When Luffy first learned G3, his time was so limited he would turn into a child once the time is up. When Luffy first learned G4, his time was so limited he would turn into a sitting duck once the time is up
Now there is no drawback in G5, the exchange for that is: Contrary to gap between gearless to gear 2, gear 2 to gear 3, and gear 3 to gear 4, the gap between Gear 4 and Gear 5 is just very small.

While Gear 5 sent both Luffy and Lucci flying instead of just Lucci. If we compare the distance, single G4 attack sent Doffy across the town, while G5 attack only sent Lucci flying across the room.
