You expect Luffy to teach Lucci levels next week? Might happen. Luffy goes from God to Demon when somebody hurts his friends. But Lucci is something else as well. No other character except perhaps admirals and Garp have been as hyped as him in the entire Marines and WG.

No clue why people want Luffy to be so strong now. This would be a lame af story. Charas who he defeated before can come back stronger as well. Nothing wrong with any of this. They don't sit around doing nothing for 2 years. This would be even more lame to be frank.
Flower, iirc weren't you 1 of the biggest Luffy wankers during the OJ days in WCI arc? Iirc you were among the ones pushing both "Big Mom will fall in WCI" and "Luffy will defeat Katakuri".
If that was the case, glad you have seen the light
Smoker has been left in the dust. Currently I can't see him ever reaching Luffys level. Crocodile should be his ceiling and that's not too bad.

Yes, no drawback.
When Luffy first learned G3, his time was so limited he would turn into a child once the time is up. When Luffy first learned G4, his time was so limited he would turn into a sitting duck once the time is up
Now there is no drawback in G5, the exchange for that is: Contrary to gap between gearless to gear 2, gear 2 to gear 3, and gear 3 to gear 4, the gap between Gear 4 and Gear 5 is just very small.

probably, but we still don't know what all things g5 can do...we just get to see few things and two named attacks one of which can destroy onigaishima size island...
Doflamingo was sent flying for kilometres by single punch of Gear 4.
While Gear 5 sent both Luffy and Lucci flying instead of just Lucci. If we compare the distance, single G4 attack sent Doffy across the town, while G5 attack only sent Lucci flying across the room.

G5 is not like G4....G5 has different forms..G4 boundman can send doflamingo very far but the same thing cannot be done by G4 snakeman.....G5 bajrang gun sent Kaido to the core of earth...first serious attack from G5...there are levels to attacks of G5...so far we don't know upper limit of AP of G5...
