I don’t think Kuzan would necessarily oppose the WG, just Akainu.

Kuzan was 100% complicit at Ohara until Sakazuki acted, and even then Kuzan still murdered Saul.

Doesnt seem like the Marines aka Akainu are aware of this though...or the WG having a deal with Orochi. Akainu called Aokiji a bastard and said he nothing to do with the marines while Kizaru tried to kill Drake.

This still may call for a marine visit to Wano and some potential fallout with the Marines and the WG.

Of course, Drake had obviously the means to inform Akainu about the samurais' strength and the ties between Wano and the CPO and CD if he was really loyal to him.

So next chapter we migth see the outcome of some of these confrontations (clearly not fighting panel....Oda ).

The bad thing about the reverie chapters is that Oda is off-panelling all the fun at the cost of Wano

- Off-panelled the admiral vs revo clash
- Off-panelled what happened to Sabo

I hope next chapter follows up these events and that they won't be off-panelled

I doubt about Kuzan having any connection with Marine after he lost the duel. It would be weird for him to keep working under Sakazuki when those fight happened cause he was mad refuse having Akainu as FA to begin with

Possible but I doubt it, Kuzan said himself to Smoker that he has lost many illusions he had on the WG after leaving the Navy and Oda seems to be foreshadowing a big discontent within the marines about the way the Gorosei and the CD's way of ruling the world with more and more of their shady secrets being revealed.

The fact that he doesn't work with Akainu doesn't mean that he doesn't work with other marines. According to @PuckTheGreat's theory this Sword organisation isn't even known from Akainu.
