Gear 5 will get someone killed from Strawhats. Luffy will play and laugh around to much to the point that he cant finish off his enemies properly. I can already see Usopp dying because of Gear 5 recklessness.

This might also be the reason JoyBoy failed because he was being a clown the whole time instead of doing what he was supposed to do!

These recent chapters hinted at Gear 5 major downfall and that is pure Carelessness

Lucci was able to Knocked off or killed Sentomaru (if this is a better manga) because Luffy was clowning around.

Base ACoC Luffy is much more cooler than Gear 5 because we can tell Luffy is really dedicated to his mission and not just goofing and clowning around like an idiot.
