you use the logic that shonen = powerup then why don't you use one piece logic of "Lucci can't be taken out yet" logic or plot demands the logic of "Lucci need access to seraphim" or the logic of "underdog Luffy by making Lucci not acknowledging" or even the logic of "Lucci making excuse for fighting Luffy without getting a nod from marineHQ" .....



Of course unless you remove "hater glasses" you won't see the context...

speaking of acknowledgement, I hope you have "acknowledged" Luffy as much as Kaido or Katakuri did at that time...or world acknowledging Luffy as yonko...of course here agenda doesn't work...selective bias...

It would have to be Fujitora, Scopper, New Character if the helper is supposed to be able to simultaneously hold off Lucci, Kaku + rest of CP0. Smoker gets folded by Lucci alone and possibly goes life and death with Kaku.

Luffy was 1 powerup from being 5th Emperor.

Dresrossa Luffy was - YC3. We saw that in beginning of WCI (a more improved) Luffy needed help to defeat Cracker a YC3
Start of fight with Katakuri - literally got no diff'd.

Stop with the agendas.
Luffy got a general stats boost, better mastery of G4 and future sight (massive powerup) since Dresrossa. Just to barely reach YC1 tier

Yep.

It wasn't even like Lucci was struggling in regular combat. We saw that he was able to clash with basic armament where lots of haki was used up.
Lucci got screwed over by toonforce nonsense (like people forget that Kaido himself got completely clobbered in the very beginning of G5 cause of the unconventional combat style, until he eventually got used to G5 and only then turned the table).
While Lucci was able to dodge/counter pretty much all of the conventional/straight-forward attacks from Luffy.

We even see that a guy hyped for his defence was one shot by Lucci, when it came to straight forward combat. And he tried to defend himself

People thinking that someone of Cracker level would clobber Lucci is delusional.
