I'm pretty happy. Carrot is half a character and I don't like her design, especially after Sulong looking the same for all minks was lame.

Yamato is a shoehorn character that didn't appear until the 3rd act, she has very little purpose. Her Odin schtick got old fast. I admit her df and design would fit the crew but it's unearned.

I found those fond of Yamato vicious and insufferable. One year later they can join the remaining loyal monet fans. As for me, I was a jinbe fan since WCI so I am happy with the conclusion of wano. I actually always liked jinbe's design but I admire the personality too.

Hell yeah ! Its not just because I am a fan of the marines but I think Smoker and Tashigi have more interesting + entertaining interaction with the Straw Hats than Yamato + Carrot. We need to see more of them in the current arc.

Carrot's chances of joining died when she became invisible in Wano, she didn't even get her W against Perospero. As for Yamato, I am convinced Oda just wanted to sell more merchandise so he made her and pushed her into "wanting to join" only to stay in Wano.

All in all, both characters wasted panels when they are really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not a fan of new strawhat at this point of the story.
Oda already don't give a fuck about current Strawhats. Luffy/Zoro/sanji got their Panels but Nami/ussop/Brook got sidelined.

Its less about liking Yamato and more about why Oda had Yamato state 15 thousand times that they wanted to join and then ultimately did not. Personally I'm glad that it didnt happen, because while Yamato has a unique powerset, having a mythical zoan when Luffy is one and Chopper is also a zoan just makes shit redundant.

Personally, im just hoping for Smoker at this point. Also a unique fighting style, a non-broken logia, a (former?) Marine and a legacy character to boot. Plus, it could be very synonomous with what Aokiji is doing with BB.

Why are you asking questions when you already know the answer? I can say for myself that I was extremely angry that Yamato didn't join. A decision that, in retrospect, questions the meaning of her existence.
