The Secret eye ability was passed down to the Shimotsuki clan wich is a branch clan of the Roronoa Clan.
The eye secret power is the ability of the original Demon King that used to rule ancient Onigashima wich allows the user to increase their strength the more the user looses blood.
The Demon King lineage factor was activated by Sandai Kitetsu over time and finally developed during Mihawk and Zoro final sparring match at the end of the timeskip.
