I don't buy the theories that it's anything other than a scar, but to speculate....perhaps Zoro could be training his CoO all this time and he ultimately unlocks FS when opening it. But as I said, I don't see it.

Opening rinnesharingan duh

I would prefer mangekyo sharingan as Law effectively has some Rinnegan powers. Oda has haki, devil fruits, technology, metamorphosis (mink transformation), etc. The next step is dojutsu. Zoro would be ideal. Zoro having a Susanoo (defense form) in addition to Ashura (attack form) would be epic.
