This reminds me of something from the first volume of One Piece Party. There's a section where the author Ei Andoh shows Oda's notes and corrections to his early storyboard. At one point in the storyboard Zoro called Tashigi "copycat" (right in the picture below) but Oda added the comment "Zoro doesn't call Tashigi copycat anymore" and made Andoh change it to "Captain Glasses" (left):



This, plus the fact that Zoro didn't call Tashigi "copycat" once in Punk Hazard after their brief clash at the lab entrance (where he only used that nickname to tease her), tells me "copycat" is not how Zoro sees Tashigi anymore. Now she's "Captain Glasses" or "Sword Maniac" :catblush:

This is actually very cute! Reminds me of Robin calling the crew their real names after they truly bonded.

I’d wish there was an alternative universe where Tashigi was actually on par with Zoro in sword(wo)manship. Or at least to cause him a little trouble. That would make their crash as opposite sides way more interesting, especially as they have a “thing”.
