General & Others How Luffy and Zoro's final matchups affect each other

#1
There seems to be 3 options regarding who ends up being luffy's final enemy

1. Blackbeard
2. Imu
3. Akainu

The most popular opinion among the fandom is that Luffy's final opponent will be Blackbeard, and that Zoros final opponent will be Mihawk. However, both these options can't be correct at the same time. One of them has to be wrong.

We know how the formula goes. When luffy fights the captain, zoro fights the "right hand" or the next strongest person in the crew. Meaning that when Luffy is fighting Blackbeard, Zoro would be fighting Shiryu. Therefore if Blackbeard ends up being luffys final opponent, that would make Zoro's final opponent be Shiryu, not Mihawk. This is one of the reasons why i don't think Blackbeard is the final villain. Most people expect zoro to fight an admiral at some point as well. Do people really think that zoro will fight Shiryu AFTER hes defeated both Mihawk and an admiral? Shiryu just doenst have that kind of potrayal. And the same logic applies to sanji as well. Most people expect sanji to fight an admiral too. So do people really think that sanji will defeat an admiral before he fights...burgess? It just doesnt work.

Now you might ask, "can't zoro fight mihawk later after luffy has defeated blackbeard?" Well, since Luffy is the main character, luffys final fight has to be the final fight of the series and the climax. There is no way that Zoro vs Mihawk can happen after luffy's final fight has already finished. This applies to the next 2 options as well.

Now to the next most popular choice for final villain, Imu. I don't think Imu is even a fighter in the first place, but a lot of people do and think he is Top 1. So if Imu is indeed a fighter and Luffy's final opponent, i guess that would make zoro's final opponent the gorosei with the sword, "the actual world strongest swordsman in secret". The problem with this is that it would make Mihawks title quite literally fraudulent, if this geezer swordsman is indeed stronger. Regardless, that particular gorosei doesnt have any potrayal of that sort. All 5 of the gorosei worship and submit to imu, but there is no potrayal differences or ranking among the 5 gorosei themselves. They are all on the same level. Its not like that one particular bald gorosei has been shown to be special and above the others. Its ridiculous to think that one particular gorosei is stronger than mihawk while the other gorosei are commander level or something so that they can be beaten by other strawhats like franky. Regardless, i dont think imu or any of the gorosei are strong fighters at all.

So next we move on to Akainu. When Luffy is fighting Akainu, then we would expect Zoro to be fighting an admiral

Meaning that if Akainu is Luffys final fight, that would make zoro's final opponent an admiral. This is what makes sense to me. Whitebeard implied that the final war would happen after the one piece is found. Thats why i think Luffy will defeat blackbeard to obtain the one piece and be hailed as the pirate king before he enters the final war. Likewise, Zoro will enter the final war as the worst strongest swordsman after defeating Mihawk.

So in conclusion, Luffy's final opponent- Akainu
Zoro's final opponent- An admiral

Why can’t the sword Gorosei be stronger than Mihawk?

People don’t get this. Imu and the gorosei’s power is a complete mystery. Nobody has ever seen them fight.

Not only could they make Mihawk a fraud, they could make every “world’s strongest” a fraud. Imu could be far stronger than Kaido, WB, and Roger.

Blackbeard -> Imu

Shiryu -> Mihawk
mihawk isnt the rhm of imu

I personally think this is a fight zoro has a t the very end of the story
after his battles with the strawhats have finished.

The gorosei aren't some secret, people know about them, it is just imu that is a mystery. The gorosei's "power" is only a mystery to you because because you believe them to have powers in the first place. Either way, if that "sword gorosei" is stronger than mihawk that means he is the world strongest swordsman and mihawk isn't, literally making his title false. Doesnt matter whether people know about him or not, the title is objectively incorrect. Same applies to other characters and their titles.

And as i said there is nothing special about about that particular gorosei for us to believe he is stronger than mihawk while the other four gorosei are shit, unless you really think the other 4 are also above mihawk as well

I don't think people know anything about their powerlevel. They spend their entire lives on mariejois, if they ever need something to be done, they just send the marines or Cipher pol to do it.

As for there not being anything special about that gorosei, he's special for the sole reason that he serves directly under Imu. Zoro and Sanji always fight the main villain's subordinates.

Imu is the final villain. Therefore sword gorosei>Mihawk

People were waiting for ZKK as well. Plot>>>Feelings of zoro fans.

Plot demands that the final villains be Imu and the gorosei. So chances are Mihawk, who is currently Buggy's "subordinate" in cross guild, will probably get hype tooled by prop up the gorosei. The gorosei will likely wipe out cross guild, establishing them as an above yonko threat.

Oda doesn't care about the wishes of ZKKfanboys, which is why ZKK didn't happen and Mihawk become a pirate subordinate for the Clown Buggy.

Oda has 2 favorite pirate crew other than Strawhat pirates, who are Buggy's crew and BB's crew, which is why those 2 have the strongest pirate subordinates right now, and BB's crew definitely will be stronger than Buggy's crew which has Mihawk in it. BB's crew has already Shiryu + Aokiji.

''Q: If you could join any pirate crew in One Piece (except for the Straw Hats), which one would you join and why?''

E.Oda: ''Hmm. Except the Straw Hats… I think it would be awesome to be in Buggy’s crew. They seem to be very carefree, and it would be really fun because even the subordinates can make fun of the captain. But if I was really strong, I would want to be in the Blackbeard Pirates''

I don’t see the gorosei needing to be the final villains. Imu sure, but the gorosei just don’t give the same vibe.

they ALL serve directly under imu
its not like the ghandi gorosei passes down orders from imu to the rest of the gorosei, he doesnt have an extra role
if he is stronger than mihawk then the other gorosei are stronger than him as well
if you believe that then ok...
