My favorite thing about being a Zoro fan is when certain fanbases claim he’s one dimensional or boring, yet they desperately want their fave to have Zoro’s feats.
Zoro has no character development, yet “Nothing happened…” is probably the most iconic scene in One Piece because it is still discussed. Now post time skip gave us Zoro’s performance on the roof, and there’s a plethora of threads where users wish that Zoro wasn’t on the roof or their fave should have been there.
He may not have the most in depth backstory but he has moments that generate the most discussion!

they hate zoro because they made up in his mind they're rivals and they have to do always the same and in the hipotetycal case they aknowledge zoro as stronger they will hate him for two reasons
1-I have to compare both always and zoro doesn't act or behave like my favourite that's why they say he doesn't have character development when in chapter 1033 "I made promises with my captain and best friend" and unlock haousoku a sentence that rivalize with nothing happened also standing up for vivi after wano but they want him to have the same character that his favourite has
2-oda doesn't know how to draw sword fights boring shitty choreography legs are better=tipical behaviour of a 10 yo
I remember when they call zoro "cringe edgelord"for the koh declaration when that was linked to his dream
