Political attention seekers always burned religious books to make the media pay attention to their always vile views. Lately it's the Qur'an that's the target, but before that there were other boiks as well, depending on the period.

Maybe its a cultural thing, but crime means rape or murder for me. And that's it.

Now I don't know what exactly happened in Sweden. But I know their government is ruling with the help of the far-right.

Maybe the Anne Frank thing involving a far-right elect, now revoked, saying Anne Frank is "immoral" (if I get it right) is just an attempt by the far-right to "normalize" their party. Basically, it looks like politician's game here.

Quaran itself and critique of it is free speech. Even in the form of burning. Same thing was done with the Bible and other holy books. Now you may dislike it but that doesn't lessen the fact it is a form of free speech

Anne Franke however, she is a girl of 13 years of age that was subjugated to a manhunt most of her life by the powers we know to be truly evil. Her story is about cruelty of humanity overall, not just Jewish people, and a reminder what will happen if Nazism is allowed to breed again. To tarnish Anne Frank is to tarnish the legacy of millions that died for the world to be rid of that
