All that goofy experimental animation and they don't even properly show adv CoC on Luffy's fist, Yamato's club, and make her attack a ranged attack for some reason, which lessens the impact of just how fast Luffy's attack is to do that from range.
Anime onlys must have no idea what is going on.
Also they could have easily adapted the last two double spreads for this episode, will be painful having them stretch that out for 10 mins of content-less content next episode.
nothing interesting happened so i just skim through the episde and only watch the last minute. not gonna lie that last minute with luffy and yamato unleashing their named attack is chef kiss.

Holy shit Kaidou gets monstrous every episode, after playing to educate Yamato who is shooting 5 weevils he won a combo from Luffy and Yamato which was no joke and he will get up as if nothing had happened.
It looks like TOEI isn't playing around with their mission to make Kaido the strongest in history.
I'm glad you acknowledge that Kaido was holding back a lot against Yamato. One of the first I see typing the obvious. Most seem to think it was all by Yamatos doing where it should be obvious Kaido was just doing his best as a father. Is he father of the year? No. But he seems to genuinely care for Yamato in his own way, paving the way for her to inherit a fantastic position that his race should be exempt from.
The story of Kaido and Yamato is that of an African immigrant dad making it to the top in the new, rich country. Europe or Japan, doesn't matter. The dad had to resort to a bit of shady business to get up the ladder but is now trying to give his daughter the position of CEO of a legit company. She spits him in the face, says she wants nothing to do with her origin and that she looks up to the leaders of her adopted country without knowing or understanding the sacrifices her dad had to go through or the prejudice his race was exposed to. Dad meanwhile - right or wrong - is trying to tell her that her new country will always just view her as an African beast because that was his experience and he would rather be a strong proud beast than someone trying to fit in but that will never be fully accepted.
it's super clear in the manga, in the anime there are a few small sparks for Luffy then weird sfx that have no bearing to adv CoC and overshadow anything else
giving Yamato's "CoC" a completely different color making it look like an ice attack, and then making it a beam attack rather than a melee hit doesn't help either.
In the manga there is a clear large trail of haki on his fist and yamato's club before during and after the hit, this may get cleaned up next episode but it's sloppy af.

I hope there aren't any anime onlys in the thread lol.

I mean, wasn't it obvious that Kaidou was just educating her? After Kaidou gave her a few hits he returned to basic form and this attitude of his makes it clear to us that he wasn't serious.
