The problem of delaying the series is regarding the seiyuu, most of One Piece Seiyuu already old. Especially Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy VA) is already 65 y/o, Tessho Genda (Kaido VA) is 71 y/o.

Well that can't be helped

If they can't no longer continue, there's plenty of good VA's that can replace them
Tho it'll be very hard to replace Luffys VA

One piece would still have the same set up chapters and slow points and do he wasted year would just be a waste of time

man, with all these breaks, it seems chapter 1000 is gonna be delayed to 2021, it was scheduled for release in November 2020 taking the usual breaks into consideration.

Why the hell does an entire chapter revolve around some shitty plot of the tobi roppo being told to get ready to go and search for Kaido's son, and that they will get the privilege of fighting the calamities
